Abstract

We investigated ferromagnetic domain structures for La 1 - x Sr x MnO 3 ( x = 0.125 , 0.175, 0.300), as functions of x and temperature by means of low-temperature Lorentz electron microscopy. We have observed the change of magnetic domain structures accompanied with the orthorhombic (monoclinic or triclinic)-to-rhombohedral phase transitions with respect to the chemical composition. In addition, the transition of the magnetic domain structure in the x = 0.175 compound, which exhibits the orthorhombic-to-rhombohedral phase transition at ∼ 190 K , has been observed with changing in temperature.
