Abstract

This study analyses the ideological narratives and values portrayed in contemporary Czech textbooks with relation to four themes associated with Czecho-Slovak relations: the First Czechoslovak Republic, the Federation of 1969, followng the Prague Spring, the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. It explores the rhetoric, style and the definition of actors and their attributes, and touches briefly on the psychodidactic aspects of these topics.
