Abstract
The present scientific work seeks to analyze the workday carried out in a hybrid way, that is, the work carried out both inside the work environment and outside it; and discuss the work done using the workday reduction. It points out the working day model from the 19th century to the present day, in order to clarify the changes that have taken place over time. The purpose of this article is to reflect on the importance of cultural and legislative changes in relation to the current type of working day in Brazil and in the world. This article was developed through a doctrinal bibliographic survey, used in an interpretive and deductive way, as well as through information referring to other countries where different working hours are already being configured. It appears that the use of these new models of working hours already obtains positive results in the technological era in which we live. From these results, it is concluded that changes in the working hours model are inevitable, both in terms of effectiveness and efficiency in relation to the time and resources made available by companies, as well as the valorization and preservation of physical, psychological and, consequently, a better quality of life for its employees.
