Abstract
Abstract. The aim of this study is to understand the teaching-learning process in the multisseries schools of the countryside, based on the analysis of the Active School Program. To do so, the bibliographic review was used as a research procedure, focusing on the studies of Antunes-Rocha et al. (2010), Nascimento (2009), Ribeiro (2009), among others that portrayed the theme, making a historical reflection on The Rural Education in Brazil, followed by an analysis of the legal frameworks that ratify this teaching and, later, an analysis of the program. It can be evidenced with this work that in the Active School Program the different forms of systematization of the teaching work and of the student action are instrumented through practices already defined in the Base Project. Although the program includes important actions for the integration of the school and the family and the student in the community, many factors have not been applied due to elements of the organizational structure of the education systems, such as the lack of experience of the teacher in the countryside, lack of training in the university fields that deal with the subject, besides, the inherent difficulties of the teaching practice in multisseriados classes.
