Abstract

The text deals with the place and role of symbols in the religious-educational process. Based on his research and his professorial practice, the author perceives how significant the symbols are in the life of people, especially of children and youth, and how they permeate their religious imaginery, being profoundly interconnected with their stories, their life experiences, their reference persons and their significant existential questions. It is about a theological-pedagogical focus, as well as epistemological and methodological, aiming at rethinking the professorial formation and action in the area of Religious Education knowledge in the school and in other educational contexts.
