Abstract

The work starts from the following problem-questions: what dialogic relationships are summoned on the covers of Veja Magazine? How do such relationships reveal the point of view of negativity of the aforementioned media vehicle with regard to the Workers' Party (PT)? In this sense, the objective is, as a response to the questions raised, to analyze two magazine covers that thematized situations experienced by the PT and that served as media promotion for the circulation of concrete statements in a time frame of the political campaign for the presidential elections of the year 2014. From a theoretical point of view, the research is affiliated with contributions from the Bakhtin Circle. The results point to the evaluative place of Revista Veja due to a dialogic-discursive framework that denies the PT and, for this purpose, emphasizes a journalistic narrative that places the PT in a zone of conflict, of corruption.
