Abstract
Abstract The present study aims to register the production of scientific articles about dance in national Physical Education journals. For this, we carried out a content analysis of articles published in 26 selected journals between 1987 and August 2020. We found 363 articles published in the proposed period, focusing on subjects, webqualis, and varied bibliographic references. Thus, it is possible to see where the national dance productions are, their highlights, and their main bibliographic references. In the end, we found that the discussions about dance and educational aspects are predominant, as well as the use of bibliographic references with a certain theoretical and practical proximity to dancing activities.
