Abstract

Although large schools in metropolitan areas are generally able to provide blind children with orientation and mobility instruction from certified mobility specialists, small schools in rural areas often find this impractical. This article offers several specific suggestions to facilitate the effectiveness of the resource or itinerant teacher in this role.
