Abstract
Adequate nutrition is crucial for the successful reproduction of fish. Decreased food availability or food of poor quality, such as imbalances of nutrients like lipids, proteins, sugars, vitamins, and minerals, can negatively impact all stages of reproduction, including the normal development and puberty of immature fish, the production and release of gametes, and reproductive behaviors.
