Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of whole-course quality nursing intervention on the nursing quality of patients with multiple rib fractures. Methods A total of 110 patients with multiple rib fractures hospitalized from December 2015 to November 2017 were selected.According to different nursing programs, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, 55 cases of each group. The control group adopted routine nursing intervention, while the observation group adopted whole-course high-quality nursing intervention. Both groups were given nursing care for 1 month, and the nursing effect was evaluated after the nursing.Hospitalization, fracture healing, analgesic medication use and closed thoracic drainage time were recorded and counted in the two groups. The incidence of pulmonary infection, atelectasis, hemorrhage and deep venous thrombosis in lower limbs were recorded and counted in the two groups.WHOQol-BREF life scale was used to evaluate the two groups of patients from the perspectives of physical health, psychological state, social relationship, surrounding environment, independence ability and personal belief.Hospital self-designed questionnaire was used to evaluate the satisfaction of the two groups at 1 month after nursing. The nursing effect and the effect on nursing quality between the two groups were compared. Results In the observation group, the hospitalization time, fracture healing time, analgesic drug use time and closed thoracic drainage time after the whole process of high-quality nursing intervention were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05). The scores of mental health, mental state, social relationship, surrounding environment and independent ability of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at 1 month after nursing, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The satisfaction of the whole-course quality nursing intervention in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions The application of whole-course high-quality nursing intervention in patients with multiple rib fractures can help shorten the healing time of fractures, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients, which is worthy of promotion and application. Key words: Whole-course quality nursing intervention; Multiple rib fractures; Nursing effect; Quality of care; WHOQol-BREF life scale
