Abstract

Objective To observe the holistic nursing process of a multiple myeloma patient with micro-transplantation. Methods The micro-transplantation was used for one elderly multiple myeloma patient who underwent palindromia and progression after peripheral blood autologous hemopoietic stem cell transplantation and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Results The hemogram recovered in half a month without seriously infect and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) related complications and so on after receiving micro-transplantation including three cycles of chemotherapy combined with infusion of HLA half-matched hematopoietic stem cells. Conclusions The treatment of micro-transplantation technology with low risk, simple and safe operation can reduce the length of stay and financial burden along with rapid recovery of hematopoiesis and without matching on HLA.
