Abstract

Objective To explore the first aid and nursing of the intercurrent acute pulmonary embolism in surgery. Methods Reviewing and analyzing the process of first aid and nursing in a case of intercurrent acute pulmonary embolism in the both legs fracture surgery. Results The case of intercurrent acute pulmonary embolism was successfully rescued by our pre-plan nursing. Conclusions Keeping lay up, limb braking, slow venous blood flow and trauma are the main factors influencing the incidence of pulmonary embolism. The nurses must enhance the knowledge of pulmonary embolism, observe the change of the situation frequently, make the true evaluation and judgment, and grasp the golden time for rescue. Helping doctors make the diagnoses as soon as possible and using thrombolytic and anticoagulant therapy in time were the key points of the successful first aid. The final targets of nurse were summarizing the experiences, making the nursing preplan of first aid and curing the patients.
