Abstract

Objective To explore nurses' satisfaction with the use of private digital assistant (PDA) as well as its influencing factors, and to offer some reference for hospitals to introduce the mobile nursing information system. Methods Totally 568 nurses from 3 tertiary hospitals in Tianjin where PDA was applied were investigated and analyzed with the self-designed PDA Satisfaction Scale. Results The nurses' total score of PDA satisfaction was (3.15±0.57) . There was statistically different difference between the scores of PDA satisfaction among the nurses with different education backgrounds, working years, titles and number of patients (F=3.091, 1.461, 3.961, 5.596; P<0.05) . Conclusions Nurses' satisfaction with the use of PDA is above average, and hospitals and relevant authorities should take effective measures to improve nurses' satisfaction with the use of PDA.
