Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the process and outcomes of the Nurse Staffing Task Force. This work, which followed the Partners for Nurse Staffing Think Tank, was co-convened by professional organizations to address the staffing crisis in acute and critical care. The volunteer members of the Task Force represented diverse roles in health care and meet over a 9- month period. Their work resulted in an open access publication that is an inclusive representation of their collective expertise.
