Abstract

Degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system significantly worsen the quality of people’s life. To replace only the damaged part of the hip joint hip resurfacing arthroplasty is used. For a safe selection of the prosthesis design, choosing mechanical characteristics of the implant and determination of the range of safe loads for the system “bone-endoprosthesis” it is worth to use computer simulation. This paper presents a numerical study of the mechanical behavior of the system “bone-endoprosthesis” under different physiological loads. The influence of the types of load on the stress-strain state is analyzed. The working range of physiological loads of the bone-endoprosthesis system is determined.
