Abstract

This article uses numerical simulation methods to simulate the internal flow field of a new three-way changeover valve structure, and verifies the simulation results through flow experiments. The results show that the flow coefficients on the handwheel side and opposite side of the new changeover valve obtained by the simulation method are within 10% of the experimental results, indicating that the results obtained by the simulation method can better match the experimental results. In addition, the flow coefficients on the handwheel side and opposite side of the new three-way changeover valve have increased by 49.6% and 64.3% respectively compared to the existing structure, indicating better flow capacity.
