Abstract

The three-dimensional analysis of the liquid sloshing in dynamically excited containers is considered. For the numerical simulation of this phenomenon, the panel method is applied as based on the boundary integral technique. The effects of sloshing are followed up in the time domain using an incremental multi-step scheme which ensures numerical stability. The proposed procedure is applied to the oscillatory motion of a spherical tank partially filled with liquid.
