Abstract

In order to investigate features of processes inside a combustor of a solid fuel ramjet a numerical model was employed. The model is based on Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations along with turbulence and combustion models and considers solid fuel pyrolysis. Experimental data from an earlier work was used to validate the model. Dependencies of air mass flux on some combustor performance parameters were obtained for different solid fuels.
