Abstract

Deformation of rocks is modeled with allowance for their creep, brittle and plastic failure in the vicinity of an unlined shaft under interaction between a monolithic concrete support and inhomogeneous enclosing massif. In calculations conducted by the finite-element method, failure is modeled by a decrease in strength in different directions that can vary in time along with the loading conditions.
