Abstract
With the spread of electric vehicles, development of compact motors with high energy conversion efficiency is underway, and IPM motors are widely used as vehicle drive motors. However, spatial harmonics in the magnetic flux density in the air gap increase the torque ripple and cause vibration noise. Therefore, we focused on a centrifugal pendulum vibration absorber (CPA), which is effective in suppressing torsional vibration in engines. Although the suppression of low-order rotational fluctuation components has been verified, there are few previous studies of its application to higher-order rotational fluctuation components such as those of IPM motors. Therefore, in this paper, the vibration suppression effect of CPA on high-frequency torsional vibration of IPM motors is verified by multi-body dynamics analysis.
