Abstract

A complete numerical mathematical model is presented to study the consequence of chemical reaction and removal mechanisms on the pollutant radiated from the point source on the boundary of the city region. Life span of secondary pollutant is more than the primary pollutant and it is dangerous to human being and its surroundings so in this model, we are considering secondary and primary pollutants. The realistic wind velocity and eddy diffusivity profiles are considered in this model. The intricate problem is simplified numerically with Crank-Nicolson finite difference technique. In stable and neutral atmospheric conditions primary and secondary pollutant concentration is maximum on the boundary of point source and as well as at bottom surface.
