Abstract

Publisher Summary This chapter presents some numerical results related to the closed loop control of a distributed system: a gaz transportation network. It is possible to get fast algorithms to compute the gain of the linear quadratic problem obtained after suitable linearization because of the fact that there are only boundary control and observation. On contrary, the final observation is very important because the state of the system must be kept at a convenient level at the end of the period. The chapter also presents a table that gives the relative deviation between the final downstream pressure and the desired value represented in percentage.
