Abstract

A clever method is proposed for optimal synthesis of several low coherence sources to improve the resolution of optical coherence tomography. An optimization algorithm is introduced to arrange the parameters of sources for decreasing the effective coherence length and inhibiting the side lobes simultaneously. Computer simulations are presented to show the features of this new method. The influences of source fluctuations are also investigated.
