Abstract

Today, the computation of the effective characteristics is of great interest due to the development of new materials. In this paper, we consider the numerical method based on the heterogeneous multiscale finite element method with polyhedral supports to determination the effective elasticity tensor of three-dimensional objects with the complex internal structure. We obtained that the numerical homogenization results are in the good agreement with the analytical formulas. However, the method based on the heterogeneous multiscale finite element method allows us to solve effective characteristics for very complex material.
