Abstract

Alder and Winther's theoretical predictions of excitation probabilities for multiple E2 Coulomb excitation of rotational states in odd-mass nuclei have been evaluated on a high speed computer. For ground state spin 1 2 , it is shown that the excitation probabilities are related in a very simple manner to the excitation probabilities for even nuclei.
