Abstract

This paper presents a numerical simulations of a pull-out test conducted using ABAQUS software. The purpose of the simulations was to evaluate the effect of anchorage length on the bond behavior of ribbed bars in this test, based on the experiments performed. The interaction at the bar-concrete interface was modeled using a contact cohesive surface and calibrated bond-slip curves obtained from experiments. Material models were defined using mechanical parameters obtained from in-house tests on concrete and steel. The analysis shows that the bond behavior is significantly influenced by the anchorage length. Numerical simulation results demonstrate excellent convergence with laboratory tests, both in terms of the bond-slip curve and material behavior
