Abstract
The hyperfine structure and isotope shift in the atomic λ = 547.7nm line has been measured in the radioactive isotopes 101Ag, 103Ag, 104Ag, 105Ag, 105mAg and 106mAg and the two stable ones 107Ag, 109Ag. The silver isotopes were prepared as fast atomic beams at the GSI on-line mass separator following fusion reactions. Magnetic dipole moments, electric quadrupole moments and the change in the charge radii have been determined and are discussed.
