Abstract

The relaxation of the proton nuclear magnetization was measured in niobium--hydrogen samples of 1 to 4 at. % hydrogen over the temperature range 130 K to 360 K. Over much of the temperature range, the relaxation of the magnetization was described by two relaxation times, one ascribed to the protons in the α phase and the other to the protons in the ß phase.
