Abstract
Bremsstrahlung absorption spectra are measured in five elements, using a magnetic Compton spectrometer. By subtracting theoretical atomic absorption cross sections the energy dependence of the nuclear absorption cross sections is obtained. However, the absolute value of the nuclear absorption cross section has not been accurately determined.
