Abstract

The labor factor of production -the human element- is both a physical and a mental force in order to achieve business objectives and ensure success. Using this power in the business world with intensive competition has increased the importance of human resources management. Unions that play a major role in human resources management has emerged as a dominant voice in labor relations and has become the main actor representing the worker. Today, in many countries unionization and membership have become a legal right, unionization has contributed to the challenge of the employee against the employer and the improvement of working conditions, and the workers have the opportunity to bargain collectively. In this study, a literature review was made, and an attempt was made to provide an intellectual commentary on trade union activities, how the worker acquired the right to trade union, the reason for joining the union and the gains.
