Abstract

In this article, I will try to justify the need for an alternative to educating the youngest generation in today's digital world. I will describe a new model of eco-Christian education, in contrast to the destructive influence of digital media. I am referring here to the negative impact of media messages, available online, which give rise to illnesses, frustrations, disorders. Their language, symbols, ideology, moral beliefs are of concern in the context of their transmission of differently ethical and religious values. The main research objective will therefore be a critical analysis of selected children's online games. The methodology chosen for the study will be qualitative and the research method will be a multimodal analysis by Gunther Kress and Theo van Leeuwen. In this paper, I will analyse the selected children's websites in terms of their modality, ideological message, structure, compositional form, and their relation to the other elements of the respective visual message. Keyword: eco-Christian education, digital world, media, critical analysis, internet games for children
