NOVGOROD TYSYATSKIYE IN 1410-1420-IES

Abstract

ARTICLE RETRACTED This article is devoted to the study of the institute of Novgorod tysyatskiye in 1410-1420-ies. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of all the data sources are examined on Novgorod tysyatskiye during this period and attempt to resolve the controversial question of the evolution of the institute tysyatskiye at this time. According to the results of the study, the author observed that for a long time in historiography was not created a clear and coherent concept about the development of the institute tysyatskiye in the XV century it was noted only that they were part of the Council of Lords — the Board of officers of the city. Tysyatskiye of the first quarter of the XV century, as in former times, were reelected in strictly defined terms, and has held positions for various terms. This, incidentally, is true for the bosses. Finds no confirmation in the sources and the hypothesis of V. Yanin about emergence in this period of so-called old tysyatskiye. During the studied period it is difficult to trace in the sources the evolution of the institute tysyatskiye. But in 1410-s of the Novgorod letters written on behalf of city officials without regard to the will of the Council suggests strengthening the role of the entire Council of Lords of Great Novgorod including the same tysyatskiy — the second person after mayor.
