Abstract

The objective of this paper is to present the synthesis, the design, and the measured results of an eight-pole self-equalized quasi-elliptic superconductive planar filter for a satellite input multiplexer. These filters placed at the entry of the amplifying channels allow to select a part of the total band. They are narrow-band filters (<<1.7%) around 4 GHz with a high selectivity in order to optimize the exploitation useful band. A new design is developed using cross-loop resonators and a square patch, to annihilate the undesired couplings between the various elements. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
