Abstract

Novel single and double ion type solid electrolytes which have poly(dimethylsiloxane) backbones and crosslinked networks, are prepared and characterized with ir, X-ray diffraction, DSC, conductivity, and transference number measurements. We can prepare both type electrolytes by using the same prepolymers. At room temperature, conductivity and transference number of lithium ion are about 10 −4 S cm −1 and 0.50–0.56 in double ion type, and about 10 −6 S cm −1 and 0.98 in single ion type. Temperature dependences of conductivity were different for each type of electrolyte. Double ion type shows WLF dependence. In single ion type electrolyte, discontinuous increase in conductivity is observed at about 20°C, which is induced by a phase transition.
