Abstract

The currently clinically available embolic agents face the huge challenges of incomplete vessel embolization, short blocking time, and high ectopic embolism risk. In article number 2011170, Lin Zhang, Jun Cao, Yourong Duan, and co-workers for the first time report a temperature-sensitive hydrogel to completely block mainstream and peripheral vessels with completely biocompatible pharmaceutical excipients and make a breakthrough in terms of largely reducing the ectopic embolism risk.
