Abstract

The inclusion of mentor-supported project writing trainings in the policies of universities to increase Universities’ contribution to the production of knowledge and innovation will support the countries to be at the forefront of success indices. The aim of this study is to identify the problems experienced during mentor-supported R&D project writing training and to offer solutions to these problems and contribute to the diffusion of innovation. Within the scope of “10 Project & 10 Mentor One-to-One Project Writing Training” program, which took 12 weeks, a case study was performed, and collection and analysis of qualitative data were conducted. It was revealed that the main encountered problems were ‘genuine value’, ‘working areas’, ‘responsibility awareness’, ‘training time’, ‘project team’, ‘participation in training’ and ‘mentor appointment process’. The research is unique research that enables the determination of the content, method and difficulties experienced during the training process for mentor-supported project writing training and taking the necessary precautions.
