Abstract

Abstract This article describes research carried out with 18 self‐selected ‘creative educators’ teaching in a variety of contexts. All are supporting children and young people in an increasingly chaotic and fragmented post‐modern world requiring increasing personal flexibility and creativity. All are studying a holistic postgraduate course on creativity in education. The rationale behind the course is discussed, together with a wide range of educator responses to it. Finally, some suggestions are made about the forms of continuing professional development which may be appropriate for educators providing learning support at the beginning of the 21st century.
