Abstract
Expanded Granular Sludge Bed(EGSB) reactor as a third generation of anaerobic reactor, having a high value of promotion and broad application prospect. The effect of flow field on wastewater treatment reactor has been widely recognized. In this paper, use different up-flow rate of the EGSB reactors, one with 0.3 mm/s, the other with 0.9 mm/s, to examine the influence of flow field on effluent. After running 53 days, it was found that flow field had no effect on pH and TOC removal efficiency of the two EGSB reactors while had effect on ORP and liquid products due to the different constituent of microbial community structure in the systems.
