Abstract

With the development of modern casting technology, the precision and stability of predetermined dose irrigating system is required to satisfy the need for manufacturing high quality and high efficiency casting, yet now the front rationed feed liquid technology of aluminum alloy fluid furnace is not matured. In this paper, based on the mechanism of predetermined dose irrigating system in electromagnetic pump (EMP), the experiment and theory investigation with the Conservation Parameter Method (when the electromagnetic pump works, feed current is parameter), Cubage Compensation Method (with the molten aluminum alloy feeding in the casting model, feed current is adjusted by calculation the consumption in furnace) and Fixed Suspended Height Method (no need to confirm the remainder in furnace, feed current is adjusted by suspending the molten aluminum alloy on fixed position) is carried out. It's found that the Fixed Suspended Height Method is the best for not conversion output condition. After then, the fixed metal probe, ceramic probe and removable metal probe are utilized to determine the suspended height. By the experiment to research the influence factor for the precision and stability of predetermined dose irrigating system, it is found that the removable probe can improve the fix quantity precision greatly, because of the metal probe is eroded easily when it is immersed in molten aluminum alloy frequently, and the ceramic probe looses connection for skin-deep oxygenic film. The removable probe can prevent corroding for the contact time is very short. We also found that besides the influence of suspended height, the predetermined dose irrigating precision is also affected by the hydrogen content in molten aluminum alloy, the oxidation impurity content and the power stability etc. Finally, the influence aspects to the predetermined dose irrigating precision and stability for the aluminum alloy electromagnetic pump are investigated and the improvement methods are determined. The method is the new direction for electromagnetic pump applying Aluminum Alloy Predetermined Dose Irrigating.
