Abstract

New records for freshwater red algae are given: Lemanea borealis, new for Europe; Bangia atropurpurea, Batrachospermum helminthosum, B. skujae and Lemanea condensata, new for Finland; and new records for some other interesting and rather rare taxa such as Batrachospermum atrum, Lemanea mamillosa, Sirodotia suecica, S. tenuissima and Tuomeya americana are documented.
