Introduction

Anne Alkema is a social science researcher and evaluator. Her main focus is in tertiary education, foundation level learning and adult literacy and numeracy. For this project she worked as the researcher for the Skills Highway programme at the Industry Training Federation. Russell Daylight teaches English Literature at Charles Sturt University, with a particular interest in building the foundational skills for critical writing.
