Abstract

The bound on the scattering amplitude, |M|=O [(energy)2. ·log2 (energy)2] derived by Froissart for spinless particles is extended to include particles with spin. The result rests on the assumption of the analytic properties of amplitudes for particles with spin. Helicity amplitudes are used in order that the result be valid if zero-mass particles are involved.
