The Notch signaling pathway is involved in cell-differentiation process in a wide variaty tissues, especially playing an essential role in the differentiation of the periphery T lymphocyte. It correlates with the development of many diffenrent allergic diseases, such as bronchial asthma. Recently, many reports have demonstrated that the Notch signaling pathway also plays an important role in inducing the airway hyper-responsiveness of asthma, as well as promotes the metaplasia of the airway mucilage cell. In this review, we highlight the relationship between Notch signaling pathway and bronchial asthma. Key words: Notch signaling pathway; Bronchial asthma; Airway hyper-responsiveness
