Abstract

On the button: NHS Connecting for Health is introducing an Essential IT Skills (EITS) programme this month, to replace its European Computer Driving Licence service. The EITS programme will give NHS staff the opportunity to train for two qualifications, nationally accredited by the British Computer Society. Candidates can learn in classrooms with tutors or at home using computer based learning materials. The training is described as 'fun and interactive', and has been designed to help users become more confident when using National Programme for IT applications in their daily working lives.
