Abstract

O n 19 March 1907, the Norwegian newspaper, Dagsposten, reported that the city of Trondheim, on the west coast of central Norway, had a famous visitor. A British film photographer had arrived in the city the day before. The photographer, Mr. Lomas, had come to 'photograph the most beautiful parts of Norway, and later show the pictures in English cinema theatres'., He stayed at the Hotel Scandinavie, and was interviewed by the journalist from Dagsposten who reported that Mr. Lomas had travelled around the world with his film
