Abstract

A new variable regularisation matrix (VRM) for the normalised subband adaptive filter (NSAF) is proposed, which is derived by letting the powers of the subband a posteriori errors of the NSAF equal the powers of the corresponding subband system noises. Simulation results show that the misalignment of the proposed VRM-NSAF is smaller than that of the authors' previous VRM-NSAF.
