Abstract

AbstractCombining the concepts of adaptive combination and selective partial updates (SPU) in the normalized subband adaptive filter (NSAF), an adaptive combination of two NSAFs with SPU (SPU-CNSAF) is presented. The proposed scheme not only reduces the computational complexity but also provides a good convergence performance. Simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed scheme. In addition, the SPU concept can also be extended to some other combination schemes such as the combination of normalized least mean square (NLMS) filters, recursive least squares (RLS) filters and affine projection (AP) filters.Keywordsadaptive filtersnormalized subband adaptive filter (NSAF)adaptive combinationselective partial update (SPU)
