Abstract
Surface Plasmon Polariton (SPP) modes in a magnetically tunable metal slot waveguide structure were studied in voigt configuration. The Method of Lines (MoLs) algorithm was used to compute the dispersion relation. Both symmetric and antisymmetric modes are nonreciprocal with structural and material anisotropy, and biasing magnetic field. The propagation loss can be controlled by reducing the slot width and dielectric thickness, to make it suitable for sensing and switching applications.
