Grønbjerg holds the Efroymson Chair in Philanthropy at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and is a professor of public and environmental affairs at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago and has held faculty positions at Loyola University Chicago and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Her interests focus on the structure of public and nonprofit human service systems, and her current work examines the scope and community dimensions of the Indiana nonprofit sector. She is the past copresident of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) and the past chair of the Nonprofit Management Education Section of NASPAA.Elizabethann O'SullivanElizabethann O'Sullivan is director of the public administration programs at North Carolina State University. She is coauthor of Research Methods for Public Administration. Her current research focuses on issues of collaboration, evaluation, and organizational learning.
