Abstract

The present work considers the effects of the nonlocality in relation to the energy wave number characteristic and the depletion hole in the calculation of phonon frequencies of noble metals by using the transition metal model potential (TMMP) of Animalu in the resonant form. We report the dispersion results for Cu and find that overall they are better than those in the local approximation.
